Our Story

This may sound a little cheesy, but it’s true - Near Bear was born from a dream.

One evening, during my usual nighttime scroll, I came across a post about the powerful impact of children having access to family photos from an early age. It stopped me in my tracks. I couldn’t shake the idea of combining something children instinctively love - a soft, comforting bear - with something deeply familiar and reassuring: the face of someone they love.

That simple thought became Near Bear.

A bear they could cuddle.
A photo they could see, touch, and hold close.
A quiet source of comfort when big feelings show up.

The possibilities felt endless, and I knew this was something that could genuinely support children, families, and friends, especially during first days, time apart, or moments when reassurance means everything.

I’m incredibly proud to be the founder of Near Bear, and I hope each bear becomes a gentle reminder to your little one that they are always loved, always connected, and never alone.
